DJ Mosh

Background

Hailing from North West London, DJ Mosh began his musical career from the tender age of just 7 years, where he would go through his parents vinyl collection which, consisted a collection of music from all over the world.

Mosh was also heavily influenced by his older sibling who had a vast hip hop collection, and also by his elder cousin who was into Ragga and Dancehall. It was in year 6 of primary school when things would change for ever. He was handed a cassette containing Hardcore and Acid tracks, by a friend of his at school. Mosh would flick through the FM dial in a bid to find similar stations playing this new music he had come across, Hardcore and Acid.

This was also at a time where their was a vast introduction of ragga basslines on hardcore tracks, which eventually gave birth to Jungle music. It was at this stage Mosh new, this new music called Jungle was ‘him’.

Coincidently, around this same time, a friend of his in the neighboured was selling a pair or soundlab belt drive turntables. Mosh purchased these and as they say, the rest was history! Mosh’s first major event was playing at the world renown The Rocket Complex on Holloway road as the age of just 17 years old. Since then he has played on a vast number of clubs in the UK as well as on many major pirate radio stations.
