Bustawidemove comes with 27 years of DJ experience. From the warehouses, forests and quarries of the free party days, to iconic venues like Bagleys, The Dungeons and Lazerdrome. Bustawidemove has consistently represented for the Jungle Music, drum and bass and dubwise movements.
A former DJ on Origin FM since it’s inception in 2000, Bustawidemove has taken the Widedubz sound around the globe representing Jungle music to the fullest. His band Step 13 were a leading light in the live drum and bass scene, well before their time, with his club night No Rest For The Wicked being the only long running live dnb event in the UK.
A chance meeting with Rodney P lead to Bustawidemove starting Mixamatosis, the UK’s first night dedicated to British Hip Hop at the legendary Madame Jojo’s in Soho, which was a springboard for the careers of regular artists DJ Skitz, Skinny Man, Roots Manuva and Estelle.
Bustawidemove continues to DJ Jungle Music and release music through his own label Widedubz, Uncommon records and others. He is currently a resident DJ at Glastonbury, Boomtown Fair and Shambala Festival. His regular show ‘Junglist Luncheon’ is on Divine Radio from 10am – 12pm on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month.
